Jirisan (지리산)

Located in Insadong (30, Insadong 14-gil, Jongno-gu, Seoul), an area known for traditional culture in Korea is the restaurant called Jirisan which serves traditional Korean cuisine in a traditional Korean house. The first thing you have to do when you enter the restaurant is to take off your shoes, as you will be sitting on the floor(cushion provided)

Their recommended set, Special Jirisan Set Menu

There were so much banchan (side dishes) that we were not able to finish them! This is a set for 2 and its so much! However some of the banchan didn't taste as good, so we didn't touch them, but we still stuff ourselves to the max. Apparently their bean-curd tofu stew is quite popular, but we found it a bit tasteless, although adding the soy sauce which they provided did help with the taste. The banchan that I felt to be really good were the japchae and the gejang(raw crab), which was really fresh and really tasty!
