The Coastal Settlement

The Coastal Settlement is a popular out of the place restaurant/cafe/bar that gives you the feeling of a village-home. It is located at 200 Netheravon Road Singapore 508529. There is outdoor seating here, and you can often find families bringing their dogs along to have their meal.

Spam Fries($14)

 Wagyu Cubes($22)

 Rosti & Sausage($24)

 Prawn Aglio Olio($24)

The food here is pretty good, the ambiance and location is fantastic, but it is expensive. Food here is not cheap, although the portion is pretty big. We started off with 2 appetizers, the spam fries and their Wagyu cubes. Spam fries are nothing to rave about, but their wagyu beef is good. Meat is tender and cooked perfectly(though we would have liked a little more beef cubes in there!) We had 2 main courses, their Rosti & Sausage and the Prawn Aglio Olio. The rosti is pretty decent, I think it was slightly over cooked as it has a little burnt taste. Their Aglio Olio is a little asian inspired as you can taste hebi hiam(dried shrimp sambal). It is spicy and not too salty, and my mom liked it a lot.
The service here however isn't perfect, we had to ask for the bill three times, waiting almost 5 minutes before asking for it again each time, before it was finally given to us, and we were seated right beside the counter!
Overall, it is a good place to come with a date or with your family to chill, but be prepared to spend some money and hopefully you get a good service!
