If you do not know, browsing the internet in China is totally different when compared to browsing the internet in other parts of the world because of the "Great Firewall of China",
of which you can read more about here.
Basically what the Great Firewall of China does is that... you cannot browse facebook, twitter, youtube, soundcloud, and even blogspot, which means that you can't even view this blog in China.
If you are wondering how China's citizen survive without fb/twitter, well they have their own equivalent, Renren, weibo, qq, youku...
Most "normal" torrent programs like utorrent will also have problems downloading in china because their network isn't the quickest, and even if you are using broadband, they are most likely trottered.
The best way to get on facebook in China is to use a paid VPN, but since I'm only going to China for a couple of days, I didn't bother to apply for a paid VPN.
Now that we got that out of the way, I will be testing the devices with websites with mostly Chinese websites like baidu as a search engine etc.
(XCom global does not have VPN on the devices)

The Device:
Informs you when the device is low on battery.
The usage of the device is almost exactly the same as the device for HK, the only noticeable difference which I think is better is that at the bottom right of the screen it actually tells you how much data you have used. This is a pretty good feature.
The device will use the network provided by China Unicom.

Speedtest:
(As China is a really big country, speedtest is not the best way to measure the network speed, and this is just for you to gauge.)

*Downlink and uplink speeds are dependent on local telco's network infrastructure and many other factors that affects cellular data(eg signal). For countries which has a better infrastructure, XCom SG has 4G LTE plans for Japan (up to 110Mbps) and Korea (up to 72Mbps).
