Sushi Daiwa (大和寿司)

Located in the Tsukiji Fish Market in Tokyo Japan, there are 2 very famous sushi restaurant in Tsukiji, Sushi Dai, which is ran by the father, and Sushi Daiwa, which is ran by the son. You cannot go wrong with either of these restaurants, but sushi Daiwa has a slightly shorter queue than Dai. You still got to wait for about an hour to get in, unless you are alone, which will get you a seat fairly quickly.

Omakase Set(~3500 yen)

You might get different sushi while you are there
since it depends on the freshness of the fish the restaurant gets.

Starts off with Toro and Ika

Followed by Chutoro and Snapper
(Supposed to be Prawn, but i ask for a change and the chef gave me snapper)
The Chutoro just melts in your mouth. Fantastic.

Then Eel, Hamachi and Tuna Handroll.

And last but not least, Uni and Tamago. The uni is very very fresh, and really good.

 Ootoro (800 yen)
Just look at how amazing it is...

The freshness of the sushi here is ridiculous. After having these, it just made me fall in love with Tuna. I like salmon a lot, but salmon just pales in comparison. When you have Tuna in singapore, it just does NOT taste good, but the Tuna here just melts in your mouth. And you should definitely order the ootoro while you are there. I was debating if I should... but once I ordered it, and put it in my mouth...
Literally I felt like I've gone to heaven. It was just so good.

However, I've read that Sushi Dai might be even better... but queuing there will take about 3 hours... so be prepared to wait if you want to go to Sushi Dai.

Directions:
The nearest subway is the Tsukiji-Shijo Station, if you get off that station, walk in through the main gate that is right beside the exit. When you enter, look to your left and you will be able to see a few numbered buildings, head towards building 6, and in the alley, you will find Sushi Dai and Sushi Daiwa(they are almost side by side)
If you walk around the outside market, you can enter Tsukiji Fish market by going to the Kaikobashi gate. Once through, look to your right and you can see building 6.
You can also walk from Tsukiji Station.
Be-careful while walking through the market, as it is a place for work.
